Fundraiser for Friends of Payir through Jugalbandi Concert

VIPRA’s proud collaboration with FRIENDS OF PAYIR.

A  Carnatic Hindustani Vocal Jugalbandi concert  was conceptualized to honor the differences , while rejoicing the uniqueness of classical music.

Goals:

• Together envisioning an accessible education- a transformational and lasting impact on future generation  
• To experience and inspire the beauty of classical music through the performance of great artistes appreciating each other and finding their own uniqueness 
• To route the 100% of proceeds towards the college funds for deserving underprivileged high school at Payir trust, whose objective is to support and educate children.

Jugalbandi concert was conducted on May 7th, 2023 at The Garden house, 400 university Avenue, Los Altos, CA.This was a duet concert with the combination of Carnatic classical and Hindustani classical music. Vipra is very proud and honored to conduct this fundraiser event as this was graced and performed by one of the stalwarts in the field of classical music and adding in the glory to the event. This show was a magical and melodious feast with resounding success.

Vianney Home’s New care center for Physically Handicapped at Kovur, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India

Vianney Home, an organization that enhances the lives of physically and mentally challenged children and was established in 1979. Children with disabilities from lower economical family backgrounds in rural areas have benefited the most service provided. The children with disability  received residential facilities, educational support, health care, orthopedic appliances, mobility aids, surgeries for correction of limbs, regular physiotherapies and personality development. Vianney Home is formed with a vision to create a  world in which every human attains the right to survival, education, Protection, Participation and Development. They  thrived to reach out to many rural areas  and identified children with disabilities and benefited from a bright future.Vianney home has requested financial support for running a new care center in Kovur, Nellore district  and help with buying equipment for the physically disabled.

Goal :

• • To raise and to find sponsors for the amount of Rs 4,00,000 ($5,000 approximately) to help them run one center and providing needed equipment and support successfully
  • To spread an awareness about needed support for physically disabled children from rural and low- economic families 
  • To conduct a bi-monthly women enrichment night to raise funds for this case
